Shipping information query on Ariba Network

Dear All,

Please find attached the screenshot from the supplier login on Ariba network where the supplier has to enter the shipping information. But I want to know where will supplier get the information to enter from?

Information Like:

 

 

Carrier Name,

tracking #,

traking date,

shipping method, etc

Creating a Ariba Test account with Punchout integration...

  Hi there -

I'm attempting to understand how I can create an Ariba punchout test account.  I have a number of customers asking us for punchout integration but so far I've only managed to conjure up "have the customer give you access" responses and I dont/will not commit to providing such a service for our customers before I know 100% we can execute on it.  Does anyone know how to create a test account in my Ariba network login so I can test our CXML before I let customers know we can support Ariba?

Need a Table field in On-D Sourcing and Contract Projects. How to implement or Workaround this requirement?

HI Everyone,

 

This is probably an ER but we are looking to have a Table type field that will dynamically ask the users to add more rows and input data into the pre-defined columns.  Something very similar to Matrix Term in RFX content.

 

Use-Case 1: We have a requirement to capture Project Manager from different regions. Along with Project manager name, we would like to capture information like start-date and end-date of that manager on that project and also few other string type fields. We would like to have a Table field for this so that users can add a row for each region project manager and add details for other predefined columns like start date, end date etc. 

 

We explored the option of FMD field but that will not help as we can't provide values to the FMD attributes fields dynamically. They need to be already available in the system.       Please let us know what alternatives/workarounds we have to implement this type of requirement to capture data on Project Header or dforms?

Printed and Signed PO Requirement In Italy?

We are looking to roll out P2P in Italy, and our Italian office is saying that it is a legal requirement that all Italian purchase orders must be printed out and hand-signed before being issued to a supplier.  I'd be interested in hearing from any company that is using P2P in Italy about whether you have encountered such a thing.  Thanks a lot.

Review Task Notifications

When my organization first deployed the Contract Management module we utilized a single review task within the Contract Workspace to assign contracts to our attorneys for review.  I modified the messaging template for that the attorneys received to provide the reviewing attorney with particular information. We have since added an additional review task for different stakeholders throughout the organization. My issue is that each of these review tasks require specific information upfront in their notification emails.  It does not look as though you can create more than one messaging template for internal reviewers within the contract workspace and I am currently having to follow up with an additional email with the specific information.  Has any one else experienced this issue? If so, is there any suggestions you could provide?

Does Ariba SIPM offer integration of Vendor data to SAP ECC or SAP MDG-S?

We are looking for the integation of Vendor Master from Ariba SIPM to SAP ECC. Vendor can self register in Ariba SIPM and on approval the information will be passed to SAP ECC and create Vendor Master data.

Any idea on this integration or if anyone as built custom?

I have searched at length for the bulk upload Excel template for Contract Workspaces.  I was told it is Connect, however, I have not been able to locate it.  Where would I be able to find this?

Notification from Access Gate questions

Hi guys,

 

we have introduced new access gate questions to our RFPs. Buyers are now complaining that they are spammed by notifications with following subject: 'All access prerequisites have been answered and accepted and ABC is able to see event content'. Is there any option to disable sending these emails? I tried to disable from Preferences / Change notification preferences and there is no such option ...

WebService RealmName for Supplier Profile

Hi Experts,

 

   We are integrating SAP with ARIBA system. We use Service Consumers to get Supplier Profile information from ARIBA to SAP. The Service Consumer has From date, RealmName and To Date field as input. Can anyone let me know what is RealmName and should it be configured in SAP? We use a specific realm "urn:ARIBA:Sourcing:vrealm_****" for RealmName but get any error MISSING_NAMESPACE urn:Ariba:Sourcing:vrealm_**** (The method is trying to access to the wrong realm). Can anyone pls let me know what could be the issue.

Intellectual Property Licensing Agreements

Does anyone have any experience with implementing IP Permission Licensing Agreements into Ariba CMS? We have a copyright permission website where third parties can view portions of our copyrighted materials and get a limited license to use them if they fill out and sign the copyright license agreement online. We would like to put these licensing agreements once signed into Ariba. We are thinking we would have them signed by Docusign Powerforms online, then extract them from docusign and manually create a workspace with the license agreement attached for each instance. Another alternative we were thinking was to create an interface between our website and Ariba, but we thought that might not be feasible or be too daunting. Any thoughts on how this might be accomplished and what might be the best way to approach this? Thanks very much!

How does the "event administrator" group worked ?

The definition of "event administrator" group in the work book is :

"Members of this group can manage all aspects of any project, and are automatically also members of the Sourcing Agent group. Members can create projects, publish projects, manage suppliers, delete bids, surrogate bid, edit events, submit awards, extend and reduce timings, and view all event content. Members of this group cannot translate projects. If a member of this global group is assigned to a project team, that member has the same abilities as a project owner, even if the user is not a member of the Project Owner group in the project.

Access to this group must be approved by Ariba."

Why the user couldn't extend/reduce timing after the auction started(bidding phase) even I have add the user to "event administrator" group?

But I tried the other way, it worked:

  1. I add the user to an Project group.
  2. Then, I add the "Event administrator" to roles of the project group.
  3. The user can extend/reduce timing after the auction started.

How does the "event administrator" group worked ? Is there any comprehensive definition?

Agreement Date, Effective Date, Proposed Amount, Contract Amount

I am curious as to how others are using these fields. For Agreement Date, we are using it as the date the Agreement was reached, whereas Effective Date is the date it becomes effective. This may be the same in many cases. For Contract Amount, we are using that as the stated value of the contract, whereas for Proposed Amount we are actually using that as our not to exceed amount. Any body see any issues with this set up? Would you recommend a different way to use these fields?
