Is it possible to have dollar and percentage items in an auction? If yes, how do I achive this?
I want to setup an auction with 2 items
1st item is created to accept a dollar amount
2nd item created to accept a percentage amount.
There will be competitive bidding on both items.
Whern I create the acution, you have to select the currency. Percent s part of the selection, but when I select percent, it asks me to provide a currency conversion rate.
Never had this problem in our last version (Sourcing 4.4)
My question: When I create my auction, I select Currency = US Dollar
Is there a way I can create items that would accept a dollar amount for 1 item and Percentage amount in another item?

PO (created after the PR is approved) in Ariba P2O -Should NOT be sent to Ariba Network instantly as PO but to ECC as PR
Question: PO (created after the PR is approved) in Ariba P2O -Should NOT be sent to Ariba Network instantly as PO but to ECC as PR
Standard Ariba Functionality: PR (Shopping Cart) is created in Ariba. Passes through approval sequence and once Fully approved creates a PO. This PO is then "carbon copied to ECC" and also sent to Ariba Network (AN).
Side Note: Our Integration scenario is SAP PI between downstream P2O and ECC and also SAP PI between ECC and AN
Our Requirement: We have certain unique requirement from a Govt Business Standpoint that the all PR's should have a DPAS (Defence Priorities and Allocation System) rating to be associated to them. There is a fairly large custom code functionality that we have in ECC today, which is able to peg the DPAS rating to all the PR created in the System. We dont intend to re-build this custom functionality within Ariba. So the following is our requirement:
Step 1) PR (Shopping Cart) is created in Ariba. Passes through approval sequence and once Fully approved creates a PO.
Step 2) This PO is Not sent to AN from P2O rather should be copied to ECC as PR
Step 3) These PR in ECC would flow through the custom program in ECC and get DPAS rated.
Step 4) This DPAS rated PR should now become a PO in P2O and can be carbon coped to ECC and also sent to AN
Question 1) So essentially what we need is that the PO created in P2O in Step 1 should not be sen to AN. Is there a way to achieve this?
Question 2) Can we built an integration scenario for a PO in P2O to create a PR in ECC?
Question 3) Can we built an integration scenario for a PR in ECC to become a PO in P2O
Any thoughts or a different approach to this requirement would be highly appreciated.

Contract Request Process
Hello. Has anyone used the Contract Request Procurement form to essentially act as an official client request for a contract? In other words, instead of clients in the company sending an email to the contracts department that they need a contract, has anyone engineered the Contract Request Procurement form to essentially act as that request? Could you tell me the details of how that works? How does the request form notify the contract manager? We have one admin assignor who currently receives all requests by emails and then assigns them to different contract managers based on the the contract type. We want to use the Contract Request form to replace this process. Thanks for your help!

Ariba Network and SIM
Hello folks, I have 3 questions.. any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks..
1) Will Bank details pass to SIM, I mean from Ariba Network to SIM?
2) If Vendor register in Chinese language, will that information will translate into English?
3) When you transfer data from SIM to ERP, what file you use to transfer? For e.g., Organization.csv, Supplierprofile.csv etc.

Best practice for capturing key contract contacts
Can anyone offer advice on best practice for storing key contract contacts in Ariba Contract Management.
There seems to be two options, both with more cons than pros:
1. Contact details can be found in the contract; which is saved in documents
2. Contract contacts can be captured by adding them to Team.
We are looking for a more elegant solution so that any user with rights to the contract workspace can open up the project and quickly and easily browse to a list of key contract contacts.

WebService RealmName for Supplier Profile
Hi Experts,
We are integrating SAP with ARIBA system. We use Service Consumers to get Supplier Profile information from ARIBA to SAP. The Service Consumer has From date, RealmName and To Date field as input. Can anyone let me know what is RealmName and should it be configured in SAP? We use a specific realm "urn:ARIBA:Sourcing:vrealm_****" for RealmName but get any error MISSING_NAMESPACE urn:Ariba:Sourcing:vrealm_**** (The method is trying to access to the wrong realm). Can anyone pls let me know what could be the issue.

Testing Custom PunchOut Catalog
First, I am an Ariba newbie. We are looking to integrate our existing web application, that allows buyers to purchase services, with Ariba. Due to the custom nature of our services, we have determined that using a PunchOut catalog makes the most sense. I am reviewing the cXML Solutions Guide and I've read a few other documents in the Ariba Production Documentation site. I believe I have a test punchout catalog setup in our test account. One of my initial questions is how can I work with this test catalog pointing it to a development version of our web site on my local machine? It appears that SSL is required even in the test account. Can I use a self-signed certificate?
The existing web application that we will be integrating with is ASP.NET application written in C# running on IIS.
If this is not possible, how can I simulate cXML transactions being posted from Ariba to our application when we are developing our solution?

Ariba CMS as a Matter Managment Request System
Any thoughts on using Ariba CMS Request Procurement workspace as a legal matter management request system? For instance, our legal department has requests for more than just contracts, but for trademark registrations, copyright registrations, litigation, etc. We have CLIO for all matters that are not related to a contract and Ariba CMS for all matters that are contract related. Instead of having two separate request forms, would it be possible to use Ariba Request Form to receive a request for a matter and then push that request to CLIO through an integration or otherwise? The benefit would be that our internal business clients wouldn't have to use two different forms from two different systems depending on their request when they request legal services. Any thoughts? Notification from Access Gate questions
Hi guys,
we have introduced new access gate questions to our RFPs. Buyers are now complaining that they are spammed by notifications with following subject: 'All access prerequisites have been answered and accepted and ABC is able to see event content'. Is there any option to disable sending these emails? I tried to disable from Preferences / Change notification preferences and there is no such option ...

A - Vendors who do not belong to ASN, but is having business with Client currently
B - Vendors who belong to ASN, and is having business with Client currently
C - Vendors who neither not belong to ASN, nor is having business with Client currently
D - Vendors who belong to ASN, but is not having business with Client currently
