Automation of ASN orders to sales order in SAP and load invoices from SAP to ASN

Hi All,

 

At the supplier side, we are currently creating sales orders manually in SAP out of the orders received from our buyers through ASN using a separate customized form. Is there a way to automate creation of sales orders in SAP from these orders received in ASN?

Also, once invoice is posted against these sales orders in SAP, we have to manually enter details for invoices in ASN against associated order which is then further sent to buyers through ASN. Is there a way to directly upload all invoices from SAP to ASN? If possible, then will there be any check between ordered quantity and invoices in ASN?

 

Please let me know if anybody have worked on the same. Thanks in advance!!

I ve read some Ariba documentation, But I could no get the outcome, any advice would be really helpful.

How to add an addendum to a contract?

Does anyone know how to add an addendum to a contract workspace that has been published?  None of the coworkers I have spoken to so far are sure.  I can't even find the word "addendum" in the Contract Process Management Guide.  It is not an amendment, because the terms stay the same, the addendum is adding more to the scope of work.  Ideas?

But still not sure these four courses will be enough for certification or i need to look into any other studay material.. Hi there,

 

Have any of you found documentation, blogs, white papers, presentations or studies where Ariba Buyer (9r1 ideally) and SAP SRM 7 are being compared?

 

I have seen some interesting blogs on spendmatters.com, a Gartner study, some SAP links (distinct SAP flavor! :-)), but nothing on Connect or Exchange. Of course a big point for Ariba is the ASN; what are the others?

 

Seems the trend is to compare both options, and we are at the gathering input stage... :-)

Contract Request Process

Hello. Has anyone used the Contract Request Procurement form to essentially act as an official client request for a contract? In other words, instead of clients in the company sending an email to the contracts department that they need a contract, has anyone engineered the Contract Request Procurement form to essentially act as that request? Could you tell me the details of how that works? How does the request form notify the contract manager? We have one admin assignor who currently receives all requests by emails and then assigns them to different contract managers based on the the contract type. We want to use the Contract Request form to replace this process. Thanks for your help!

A) Matrix  of say 20 Origin (From Locations)  to say 10 Destination (To Locations)

 

and

 

B) Quantity Slabs say < 100 kg / 101-500 kg / 501 - 1000 kg / 1001 kg - 5000 kgs.

Supplier Management

Hi,

 

My team and I are in a bit of a fix.

 

We currently have more than 750 suppliers registered in our Ariba platform. This includes suppliers with whom we have contracts, with whom we have conducted Sourcing Projects (this includes those who were selected/rejected). As you can see, the supplier list looks kind of messy as it does not really give us the real picture of how many suppliers we currently have.

 

When I run a report, Ariba shows all these suppliers as "Approved", which obviously is not correct.

 

I have an idea to do a kind of a "clean-up" activity where we could filter out those suppliers that were rejected in Sourcing Projects, those we dont have contracts with, etc. and de-activate them so

that when I run a report, I get the actual count of suppliers.

 

Do you think this would work? Or is there a better way I could clean up the mess?

Integration between Ariba Sourcing x Ariba Contract

Hi Ariba Team

 

I'm still new with Ariba, so after reading a lot of documentation, I got this doubts that I would like to clarify:

 

If I award a supplier  from Ariba Sourcing  can I create a contract straight from there 

 

(I mean its there any button called "create contract" direct from Sourcing screen).

 

Or  would I have to actually enter the Contract (from Ariba contract)  and create a whole manual process?

 

* It`s there any kind of field in the Ariba Contract which give references from the sourcing vendor awarded !!

We are working on SRM Integration with Ariba Network and SRM Integration with Ariba Souring and Contract Management. Can somebody share your experience or inputs on the below scenarios

 

1. Does Ariba supports integration SRM with Ariba Network like ECC integration with Ariba Network ?

2. Does Ariba supports Integration SRM with Ariba Contract Management ( two way communication 1. SRM Shopping carts to Ariba Contract Management and 2. Publishing Contract from Ariba Contract Management to SRM ) like ECC purchasing requisition to Ariba Sourcing & Contract Management and Contracts to ECC ?

Create Analytical Report: Count of Contract, RFx, and SPM per supplier

Hello fellow ariba users,

 

We use Ariba's upstream applications (Sourcing, Contracts, Suppliers) which comes with some "Analytics" - ability to use prepackaged reports or create an analytical report. I am new to Ariba and would love some help on how to create a particular report.

 

I am trying to create a pivot table view of all the Suppliers (in rows) and count of Contracts Workspace (Procurement), Count of Sourcing Project, and Count of Supplier Performance Management Project (in each corresponding column). For example:

                    Contracts     Sourcing     SPM

Supplier 1          4               3                  1

Supplier 2          2               3                  -

Supplier 3          1               -                  4

 

Contracts, Sourcing and SPM require a "Supplier" when you create it, but I am unable to select the Main, Second and Third Fact to create a view like this. And Main Fact "Project" (which has the required Project Types of Contracts, SPM, Sourcing, etc) does not have the Supplier field!! Supplier 360 does not provide any reporting like this - which i think would be ideal!

 

If you have created such a report or know how to do so, I would sincerely appreciate some help/ direction/ advice.

Template update parameter with assembled PDFs

Hello- wondering if any other organizations have had the opportunity to enable the template update parameter (Application.ACM.EnableTemplateVersionUpgrade parameter) now that Ariba is reporting that it works with assembled PDFs? Testing has proven to be an issue for us so we would like to know if anyone has implemented the parameter and if it performed as expected. Thanks!

We are trying to load Contract Terms in downstream for Contract Workspace using "Import Contracts in ZIP File" task. The task completes without any error. However, there are no records created / updated.

 

Can anyone provide sample files for loading Contract Terms against Contract Workspace and steps to be followed?

Dynamic Forms vs ASP

I have been using Ariba Services Procurement for a couple of years now and would like to know more about Dynamic Forms. Can someone highlight the differences between these two? I have worked on both of them and did not find any difference in functionality. I also heard that D-Forms and Dynamic Forms are two different functionalities in Ariba. Can you also point some key differences between these two?
