ECC and Ariba Sourcing Integration
Hi,
I work for a customer that's willing to use Ariba Sourcing with ECC integration, the scenario where you create an RFQ in ECC and it goes to Ariba to continue the sourcing process.
My question is, how is this integration achieved? Is it done via PI, or with the Ariba Network Adapter, or both? Do we need help from Ariba team to get this done or can it be done from customer side?

We are using SIPM for onboarding new and existing suppliers. How can we incorporate our native Vendor ID into the Ariba Supplier Workspace. Is there an additional field that we are not aware of that is available for this purpose?
We are aware of the Ariba ANID which is the supplier's Cloud Profile record. We are also aware of the Organization ID. Are there any other fields that we can reserve and then use to import our suppliers into the Supplier Workspace?

Ariba P2P Implemenation - Need functional configuration document
Hi - we are embarking on an Ariba P2P implementation for a cliet in France. I have to conduct configuration workshops with the client. I am looking for documents, templates, best practice that i can use to conduct these workshops. i am looking for a kit that i can use if possible. Typically what is the approach. The integration will be with SAP ECC6, 4.6, 4.7, and other generic ERP. This is a multi country implementation. I am specifically looking for the following
- Detailed project plan template
- Functional configutration template
- Configurtion Templates/ppts/best practice documents that i can use for workshops, for category design, approval process, user restrictions etc
- all the applicable CSV templates for data upload
- what are the typical functional design components where we need to conduct workshops before finalising the design and collect data in csv template
it will very helpful if somebody can guide me. This is my first major imolementation and need to learn a lot.

Managing Master/Sub Agreements - variations & extensions of time etc
Hi all,
I was hoping someone might have some ideas about how best to manage variations and amendments to Master and Sub Agreements? We are having some frustrations from our end users that information is having to be manually maintained in multiple workspaces to keep value and date fields aligned.
The sequence we have for Master/Sub Agreements is generally as follows:
1) Master Agreement Contract Workspace (CWS) created using standard template which includes the main approval flow to approve the original total contract value.
2) Once the Master CWS is approved necessary sub-agreements (where for a panel contract or if the agreement is in multiple currencies for example) are created using a template with no approvals on it. Each sub agreement contains their portion of the Master Agreements total contract value, and generally the same expiry dates.
3) When a variation to value/dates takes place the relevant individual sub-agreement and the master agreement is having to be manually updated.
Any ideas for a more efficient solution to this?

Total Cost Event with Cost Term calculated as a formula
Hi all,
I'm trying to construct an event where we will use Total Cost.
We have one item on lot level. We ask the supplier to provide an amount - "Purchase_Price".
In addition we have a few internal variables:
Resell_value_%
Interest_rate
Discount_period
I'm able to calculate a formula that uses:
('Total_Cost'*'Resell_value_%')*((1+'Interest_rate')^-'Discount_period')
The result = Resell_value
But how do I get the Total Cost calculation to include the result of the formula I created?
Or how can create a Term that automatically will be updated with the formula I have created? And then have that Term included in the total cost?
Any suggestions are warmly welcome.

Ariba network PI integration
Good Afternoon,
We are getting some problems connectig sap PI 7.4 dual stack with the Ariba Network, but we can't identify why the connection is not working well.
We have updated the cxml adapter and all the steps to configure the scenario as it says at connect.ariba.com but when we send a message to Ariba the following error is been produced:
Message could not be forwarded to the JCA adapter. Reason: Error when sending message: Profile request failed for [Channel] CCT_OrderEnquiry_cXML_Receiver with the following [ERROR] Cannot connect to Ariba SN
This is the configuration made for the communication channel:
Could you please help us to know what is happening?.

Best Practice for Supplier Reviews
Hi,
I was wondering what is the best way to keep all supplier reviews in one place. I am new to Ariba and would appreciate any recommendations. There is the supplier profile and I know we can create scorecards, KPIs, and surveys with SPM. We also have powerpoints of supplier reviews created outside of the system that someone mentioned we could upload in a Knowledge Project. We may do separate SPM projects for a supplier for different years. What is the best way to link all this information together? Or would we have to search for the supplier and click on separate SPM projects for each year as well as the knowledge project? Or should we be storing the information in a different tool/section?

Supplier database and linked users/contracts
Hello,
I'm currently working on the supplier database and I have a few questions about it.
First, I heard about a default supplier list implemented by Ariba.
Is there more information about this list somewhere? Number of suppliers? Purpose? Are there some test contracts or test users attached to this suppliers?
Secondly, if we massively delete suppliers (during a duplicate removal process), can we massively reallocate the contracts attached to this suppliers? Same question for the users attached to this suppliers.
Last question, is there somewhere a list of the differetn verification made on the different fields for any supplier creation (including mandatory field if there are any, format type required for each fields and any other possible verification).

IE 6,7 & 8 - Not Supported
Hi Ariba Experts,
As per the latest Ariba release note, Ariba application cannot be accessed by using IE 6,7 & 8 from May 10th onwards.
1) Does this mean users will not be able to login to OnDemand Ariba by using 6,7 & 8. Is it a hard stop?......(or).......users can access Ariba by using IE 8 but Ariba support will not extend their support in case of any issues.
2) Does DFS / Export report is not going to work in IE 6 , 7 & 8 after May 10th.....

Notification on Supplier information changes
Hi Exchange,
What settings can help notify a set of users when information about a supplier changes? Each supplier will have a separate set of users who will need notification when changes on information happens.
