Hi

Im new to ariba.  Ive been trying to setup the Toolkit along with the DBConnector to talk to my Oracle DB.

However when i try to run the script to connect to Ariba from oracle i get the following errors:=

 

[DB Connector] Starting Export.

[Failure on the Client System]:  is not a directory!

Error while sending mailcom.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 550 bosauthsmtp14: Host : No unauthenticated relaying permitted

 

Im not sure where to look for the issue as it doesnt seem to be giving me any detail ([Failure on the Client System]:  is not a directory! if i know what wasnt a directory i could either fix or create).

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ariba Experts

 

Please, Would be possible to create an "Alias" for the customer , instead of use the standard web link provided by Ariba .

 

Ex. Ariba Sourcing , for the buyer to have acess through an Alias pre-created .

Hi Exchange,

 

I just created a Contract Workspace. The following documents are created by default.

i. Cover agreement template - Not generated status

ii. Untitled contract terms - Not created status

iii. Negotiation playbook - Not edited status

 

Are the documents ideally created in the status written above? Could you confirm?

Hi,

 

I am working on Ariba On-Demand Solution.

 

I have to create an RFP where I need to invite more than 100 Suppliers, and all these suppliers will be invited for the first-time i.e. they do not exist on Customer's Vendor Database.

 

Can anyone guide me on how can I create New Suppliers in one go rather then creating them one-by-one?

I'm loading a new catalog in which the items are going to be partial items with parametric fields. I've update the SystemParametricType file to add the new parametric fields. Is there anyway to set this either on the SystemParametricType xml file or the catalog cif file to display the fields in a certain order?

 

So when the user goes into Ariba, creates a requisition, and adds one of the items I would like for the fields to show in a specific order. I haven't been able to get this to work though.

Hello. Has anyone used the Contract Request Procurement form to essentially act as an official client request for a contract? In other words, instead of clients in the company sending an email to the contracts department that they need a contract, has anyone engineered the Contract Request Procurement form to essentially act as that request? Could you tell me the details of how that works? How does the request form notify the contract manager? We have one admin assignor who currently receives all requests by emails and then assigns them to different contract managers based on the the contract type. We want to use the Contract Request form to replace this process. Thanks for your help!

It create Excel format that arew sent by email.

 

it' s possible having pdf format instaed of excel format?

 

I read Running Analytical Reports guide but i haven't found it

Hi,

 

We created a child account in order to filter orders from one particular site that a large customer has. Does anyone know where our customer (buyer) can update this information. Our customer's Ariba contact is a little lost, and I do not know how Ariba looks like from her side.

Hi

 

I've stakeholders wanting to conduct SPM surveys for providers of events / exhibitions and audio-visual equipment, but they feel our standard question-set doesn't quite work for these types of service.

 

Does anyone have any experience, advice, questions or templates to share that are for more subjective / different product / services ?

We are looking for the integation of Vendor Master from Ariba SIPM to SAP ECC. Vendor can self register in Ariba SIPM and on approval the information will be passed to SAP ECC and create Vendor Master data.

Any idea on this integration or if anyone as built custom?

Looks like blogging on this site is not enabled. When I try to start a discussion, I can easily get to this page where I am typing all this.....

 

But when you say, I want to create a "blog" the locations are not enabled to choose from.

Is this place open for Ariba employees only for blogging?

Hello, I'm working with a customer who would like to add language specific to acceptance of e-invoicing and usage of the Ariba Network to their Contract Document templates. ("Boiler Plates') They have about 40 or so templates, and are wanting to add language that ensure commodity managers and contract negotiators are pushing the use of the AN for transactions resulting from their contracts. I've not seen this myself. Has anyone else done something similar, and if so, do you have any sample language you can share?

Many organisations have prescribed retention and disposal periods for retaining contract documents i.e. 15 year retention beyond the contract terminate date.

 

How are such documents preserved within Ariba, what legal hold / records management facilities exist? Or does an organisation like my own need to externalize the documents (outside of Ariba) to achieve such an outcome? Are there technical options in this regard?

 

I would certainly value any input on the above based on other customer experiences

We have set up business areas to get expiration notifications for contracts reaching the expiration date.  If we receive communication from the business area that the agreement should not be renewed, but will remain in force until the expiration date, what is the best practice to manage this action within Ariba?

We want to turn off further email notifications, since the decision has already been communicated; however, we don't want to officially 'Close' the contract until the expiration date.  We also don't want to lose track of the action to close the agreement on the expiration date.

Ideally, we'd want a status that would turn off notifications and then prompt for action on the actual expiration date (or automatically close). Any thoughts on how this can be managed this?

Hi-

 

How can I see the comments added for previous amendments to a workspace?  I understand that I can see the most recent amendment reason comment on the overview screen; however, I want to see the history of reason comments every time the workspace is amended.  When I check the history tab and the amendment action, I cannot see this.
