First post here. Our company is just starting to use Ariba Sourcing, and has yet to utilize the project workflow piece of the tool. I would like to create a sample project with standard project management process, so that different comodity managers can use or reference. I'm just curious how everyone is utilizing this functionality, and what are some of the tasks and policies are typically included?

I was working with a Contracts customer and they had a question which led to an interesting idea. I wanted to get some feedback from the community as to whether you think it would be useful.
Currently, approvers have the option to approve or deny a document, but often they need additional information in order to come to that decision. It could be very useful if they had a Question/Inquiry option that allowed them to ask a question and receive a response that is automatically tracked with the history on the task (as opposed to having to leave the system and go through email).
Would this be useful for you guys? It seems like something that could help track information during the contracting process.
We want to add an internal audit question to an existing template. I've created the question and the conditions. I went to the Tasks Tab and there is no option to create an approval task. Just To Dos and Notifications.
Is it "possible" to do this or am I just spinning my wheels?

But when you say, I want to create a "blog" the locations are not enabled to choose from.

Ariba Eforms and Dforms are used for customization. Some people on the forum mentioned using them in SIPM and Sourcing modules.

How to restrict the user having purchasing agent role not to view other group company data when he logs on to Ariba p2p system.
Ariba function DFS (desktop file sync) helps to make it easy to work with files offline. However it names the folder for each project like WS12345678. This means that when you are involved in several projects finding files off-line is confusing and time consuming as the folder naming does not reflect the name of the project. The folder should instead have names of individual projects making it easier to work offline. Do post if in agreement.
What are some common ways that companies ask suppliers for their ISO certifications. Is it best to create a comprehensive list or to keep the question open-ended?

I'm still new with Ariba, so after reading a lot of documentation, I got this doubts that I would like to clarify:
If I award a supplier from Ariba Sourcing can I create a contract straight from there
(I mean its there any button called "create contract" direct from Sourcing screen).
Or would I have to actually enter the Contract (from Ariba contract) and create a whole manual process?
* It`s there any kind of field in the Ariba Contract which give references from the sourcing vendor awarded !!

I've stakeholders wanting to conduct SPM surveys for providers of events / exhibitions and audio-visual equipment, but they feel our standard question-set doesn't quite work for these types of service.
Does anyone have any experience, advice, questions or templates to share that are for more subjective / different product / services ?

Is there a way to re-order the tabs on the dashboard? I'm interested in this at 2 levels.
1. On my own dashboard can I re-arrange the order of tabs for me personally?
2. Within the Dashoard template, how do you re-arrange the order of tabs prior to publishing the dashboard to the rest of the team?
I've looked at the help guides but can't find anything relating to this.
